Ok CellC..

Just 1mb/s more on the down and I'll quit complaining for today as my service will be 90% back to how it was originally :p

Trevor is somewhere in Thailand according to his tweets. So, the CEO is buying fake clothes and fake women :) But think about it, who would've thought we would complain about 2-3MB throughput on a wireless network. Only 10 years ago, we had the 9600bps cell data network.

@stcac980, you just confirmed what I suspected. The signal in Equestria isn't that great, but not bad either.

Nope, Spoke to fast. It is not resolved. I'm back to where I was before. Now I get disconnects all of the time.

has any1 contacted cell c about the issue?
Yup, I logged a call, waiting for a call back from the network department.

While this seems to have been resolved for some people, I still don't have my groove back:

Well my international speeds are not back to their normal 4Mb + but hey, at least I can browse comfortably, and my wow is not lagging out - so I dont mind being patient till it sorts itself out ^^

Malvern East/Wychood is dead. After getting a 628 error all night, I could finally connect about an hour ago, but nothing loads - no data throughput at ALL. Nada. Zip. Zero.

-89dBm and 99% signal strength (my MTN connection runs perfectly with this type of signal).

Earlier today, could connect at my usual unwoosh speed (about 2Mbps - lol, I know), but with disconnects every few minutes. I'll see how things are in the morning. No improvement, and I'm going back to MTN. I'm getting fed up with Cell C's crap now.

While my groove has returned somewhat, it's not as groovy as it was last year.

No call back from the network department either.

Well, just checked again, and surprise-surprise: web pages just keep timing out. I'm connected, but no data comes in, or goes out. Inserted my MTN sim and...

I called 140, there is no "network problem" option so you'll have to press 9 for an agent.

A couple hours after I inserted my MTN sim, I decided to switch back to Cell C to see if anything had changed. Pleased to say that I had a stable connection for over 3 hours! Sure, I wasn't doing any heavy downloading or anything (was playing WoW, so not much traffic), but I was very happy to not have been disconnected after a few minutes like usual! So, that kinda throws out any possibility of my dongle being a dud, the sim being faulty, not enough power from the usb port, etc, etc. It's been Cell C's problem all along!

Although, that's where it ends... Back on the PC after about 21:00, and the network's started its crap again (approximately same time last night, too). Same signal strength as earlier in the day, but no data coming in or going out. Jeez, I just wish it would be consistent!

F.Y.I: posted this while connected to MTN

Local download speed seems to have been restored.

Still no call back from the network department. :(

Don't know why but it seems like my problem is coming and going. One day fine, the next I can't do anything.
