Network preference

ok. First off i hope this is not a repost i did do a search but did not find anything.

So a client brought her MacBook with this error. Her IBurst doesn't work any more. So I went to Network Prefrences and this stupid box kept popping up that said "Network preferences have been changed by another application" only way to get out of this pop up is to force quit.

Yes, in fact, I do - it happens with my Wireless USB adapter - since installing or soon afterwards rather. May have been one of the security updates. I click the "Show All" button repeatedly while hitting Return repeatedly to get out of that loop.
