networking problem

i have a desktop with vista business, a laptop with vista business and anothre computer with vista home premium... they all all networked and can see each other but the problem i am having is that i cannot access any files on any computers it just says access denied i blocked off all the firewalls but no diference i am ysing norton 360 on all 3 please any help is appreciated

Have you enabled file sharing via properties for each disc

yes file sharing has been enabled, i can see all the shared folders but just cannot access it

Have a look at your sharing permisions on the pc's. Set permisions to read for everyone.
Another place you can have a look is to see if you guest accounts is not disabled in Computer Management(Dont know if this will work for Vista, it worked in XP)

First of all, get rid of Norton360....something that brings all other software to a halt, is not the way to go.....lets take it from there ;)

I cannot seem to connect my Laptop to my Desktop. The thing keeps on saying: you might not have permission to use the resource.

Getting very frustrated with Windows XP.

In vista make sure your network is set to HOME, and not public or office. or it will block you off.

If it's XP just run the setup network wizard again, and make sure the share file and printers is ticked. even if it is, do it again! and you will see for some reason it comes right.

but only after a restart, for both after you have changed settings.
