New 10Gbps Gauteng-Cape Town fibre for EOH

What does this mean for the average consumer?

What does this mean for the average consumer?

The average customer has every right to seek out a service provider using the EOH backbone.

As Stuart says, Telkom still provides their chosen national backbone but as other fibre deployments kick in, confidence will grow in the alternatives (provided they are stable and reliable) and eventually Telkom will have to drop prices to retain business. Every time they drop prices, there is a corresponding spike in traffic volumes and the country moves one step closer to competitiveness.
