New Amazon Africa headquarters to be based at Cape Town’s River Club development

Global retail giant Amazon will be the anchor tenant in the new R4 billion River Club development in Cape Town.

The City of Cape Town has recently given the go-ahead for the River Club mixed-use development, which will be the new home of retail giant Amazon in Africa.

A city tribunal has made way for Amazon to move in to the River Club development in Cape Town. Buildings up to 11-storeys high are to be constructed on a First Nation site. The rezoning was decided in the face of 180 heritage and environmental objections.
