I honestly don't need more than 300km range. If I need to take long trips, I will have a second petrol/diesel car or hire one for the holidays.
GLWE - good luck with Eskom..

more raping and pillaging of the planet for the lithium to make your allegedly green cars.
and replacing individual worn out cells? forgetaboutit,

batteries cost more than the damn car, as we need to fatten up our profits somehow.

hydrogen Fuel cell, for one,
nobody has got the Chemistry worked out, but that sounds better already,

still an EV, but with a power station onboard, hell, probably possible to hook your house up to it when load shedding happens,
only emission is Pure water.

Id rather Fuel cell than anything with a gigantic battery that needs recharging all the time,

only problem is the fuel stations need to start offering Hydrogen fill ups, and they wont take 30 Min like an EV with supercharging takes
they will be closer to 3 min.

and I'm even sure its not that difficult to get containers if you run out of H2 on the road,
will obviously need to be insulated ect ect...

I have plenty of power during the day going to waste and would rather run my car for free than hand over another cent to Eskom or fuel levies.

We really need cheaper EVs for daily driving. Definitely not paying 680k for a mini which is the current cheapest in SA...
