NEW CAR F0RD FIESTA 1.0 OR THE NEW MAZDA 3

so i am in the market for a new car, i have narrowed down my options to ford fiesta 1.0 and the new mazda 3

What do you think of them? What are the pros and cons of each. i am a lady and don't know much about cars, so i really need your help guys..

Your choices are so disparate.

A new Ford Fiesta is a 1.0L and for the price of a new Mazda3 1.6L (this is entry-level), you could get the top-of-the-range Fiesta ST, which is a 1.6L Ecoboost with turbocharger. So, buying the Mazda, will get you fuel economy and a beautiful car that won the World Car Award in 2014. For what you'd pay for the Mazda though, you could get a top-of-the-range Ford Fiesta ST with exhilarating performance adn good fuel economy for its class.

I must admit that I'm partial to for because I drive one myself. At the same time though, I drove the old Mazda3 before this and it gave me very good fuel economy, something like 5.5l/100km, if you drive it frugally.

Between these two, it's really up to what you want in a car. Maybe look at that first and then see which car best fulfil thosse requirements.

Bigger, more expensive car or smaller, less expensive car - that's mostly what it boils down to. I'm partial to the Mazda 3 but I might get the Fiesta depending on how much it gets driven, etc.

The Mazda 3 is more on the level of the Focus though. If cash is not too big an issue, the Mazda is much more car, especially if you can squeeze in the top end model.

Depends on the purpose of the car, like they say the right tool for the job and the two cars are in different model ranges...

There is no "purpose/Job" where the Fiesta will be better than the Mazda

i know the cars are in different categories but the reason i decided to go for the two cars is the price. the ford fiesta 1.0 trend is going for around R226k and i got a nice deal for the new mazda 3 1.6 dynamic for R230k and these two cars have almost the same specs. what im not sure about is the difference in performance and fuel economy of these cars.

Hows the economy on the ecoboost Fiesta?

I get 5.5l/100km (18km/L) with my titanium. 6 months old. 7 500km on the odometer.

I love the car.Nippy, gorgeous, and frugal when i need it to be. Also a lot of fun when you put foot


The Mazda 3 is just as beautiful though. Haven't driven one so can't comment further on it.

We can all give you advice but in the end you need to get into both cars and figure out which one puts a bigger smile on the dial

MAZDA 3 gosh I blush everytime I see one and I'm a guy. Love it
The new Mazda 6 brings a tear to my eye and the New MX-5 Just make me break out in a loud girly wail crying my eyes out that I don't have the money to buy it right NOW THIS VERY INSTANT!
