Anyone else having problems with dstv. Mine went down last night at about 21:00. Its been randomly dead or working since then. Mostly dead though. When its working, i get the new channel order, so i'm sure i got the newest update.

My decoder doesnt allow for manual update, just scheduled.

Any thought?

have a 2xview - getting a few resets since this morning

Good to hear someone else is also having a problem. ;) I'll phone for help later.

Here's hoping the space made for channel additions gets filled quite quickly ;)

If you mean that this could be a possible problem; it simply means there are no updates you haven't already received, and therefore cannot manually force it.

Official MultiChoice press release

Today, all channels on MultiChoice’s DStv bouquets were re-numbered from one and two digits to a three digit number.

The bouquet now will start at channel 100. The easiest way to find your new channel number is to use the channel grid by: (a) pressing any of the arrow keys, and a full DStv channel grid will appear on screen (b) use the arrow keys to scroll down until you find the channel you are looking for and press OK.

Alternatively customers can visit channel 199, log onto www.dstv.com, or sms their email address to 32444 to receive the updated channel numbers.

Please take note that our foreign language channels have moved to a separate bouquet which you can access by pressing the TV button on your remote control & choosing the Specialist Bouquet option. To go back to the main bouquet press TV & chose the DStv option.

If customers are experiencing technical difficulties, we recommend that they do a decoder rescan, by following these steps:

· Press Menu

· Go to Advanced Options (7)

· Go to Dish Installation (1) & Insert PIN Code 9949Go to Scan all Networks (9)

· Press OK

· The decoder will now begin to rescan, please do not cancel / interfere until the rescan has been completed & both the video & audio can be viewed on the channel.

If customers are still experiencing technical difficulties, we recommend that a hard reboot of the decoder is done (switch off at main power source)

To find out if the decoder has the latest software, follow these steps:

· Press Menu

· Go to Information Centre (1)

· 2nd Block Software: Should read ‘up-to-date’

Why do they have to use words like "hip" and "animé"?
First of all it's not a "hip" channel, most
shows are easily 16+ (unless the censored them to shreds), secondly no-one uses the
apostrophe since the Japanese don't use it. It's anime not animé.

They could have called it Manga, but that would also have been wrong.:p

Why couldn't they just add a 1 or 2 in front of the existing numbers? 166 - NGC, 122 - SS2 etc.

It's all messed up now and I'm not in the mood to learn the new order
