So now you are giving stars to the good boys and girls?
Gawd DSTV, this is not pre-school, but rather the real world! You are so out of touch it’s embarrassing.

Their premium subscribers base is only going in one direction. With the abundant offerings of streaming (sport and entertainment) DSTV will head to the obsolete pile.

Vague system...like no mention if you can upgrade to a higher package at a lower price. If not, what's the point of upgrading when you can do it for free?

I think this so called rewards scheme means fark all, just some window dressing to look cool or current. I am on their Super Star level on 75 points. All rewards I can see is stuff like R75 off on Uber Eats, which means nothing to me. Where I stay isn't in their service area. Or I can rent one Box Office movie and then get one free or R200 off on tech help from an installer. Whoop! I already have a perfectly good installation, why would I have the need for an installer?

It would have been worth the while if I got discount on my subscription or something like that. I cannot upgrade, because I am already on the Premium package.

DSTV grasping on straws here
I think this is something in the right direction. Together with them having separate packages and including internet it would finally make them competitive. Few companies reward loyalty in any way but new subscribers can commit and get big discounts. Seems like Naspers ditching them was the right thing.

And what rewards, or better still, what discount do you offer existing premium customers who have been with you for years, DSTV?

....answers on a postcard..chop, chop now or is this your contribution to your anc master’s marxist socialist ideology that the wealthy must now sponsor the masses beyond the outrageous tax burden we already carry?

What is going on here? Rewards. For watching what? Ok, let be realistic here - only sports keeps this business alive. I have no plans to be rewarded with repeats, blah ,blah blah. No thank you.

I am well off with my IPTV. Value for money in that front.

Huh? Most major brands have some form of loyalty program.

Where? Not talking about "reward programs" that give you like 1% discount whether you are a long time customer or not. I can sign up for a Vodacom contract for sometimes 50% less but that's not loyalty that's commitment. They've never offered me a discount for being a customer for over 20 years.

Companies just don't reward loyalty because you can still leave tomorrow but they reward commitment because it ensures a continued revenue stream so this will be a breath of fresh air if implemented correctly.
