Based on my experiences with the New Generation Honda Ballade and Honda's after Sales Service...... I would not touch another Honda with a 10 foot pole. Owned many other brands, had the worst experience with Honda.
Which new generation, the most recent one?

The new shape Honda with daytime running lights with a redesigned front and rear. 2017+??.

I don’t follow the brand anymore.
Okay, there's a new Ballade now.

I still think Honda build good cars, I have always thought that cramped Ballade was dodgy looking at the shape alone.

They do get it wrong at times like the others, but the safety spec, performance on their normally aspirated engines is unmatched in the current sea of overpriced mediocrity.

I mostly prefer buying used cars and do my own maintenance so I have never had any headaches dealing with dealers and their after sales service. If I ever had to consider buying a car Honda will be up there, their cars are just fantastic.

Most petrol heads I spoke, to prior to buying the Ballade, recommended Honda. Mate of mine owned the old Honda, solid build and one of the most reliable cars he owned. This prompted me to buy the Ballade.

However, Honda moved their manufacturing plant to India and that’s when the quality began to slide. My Ballade is still under warranty.

I have water dripping into the passenger side door panel during heavy rain and car washes (Honda approved panel beater could not resolve this), rattles from the bonnet, front dash, rear seat, irritating creak from the driver seatbelt mechanism. Front disk was skimmed twice due to a shudder. Waited 2 weeks for parts (brake pads and windscreen wiper blades). When the parts arrived, the technician who diagnosed the problem was on leave. Honda prefers the technician who diagnosed the problem to work on the car. Waited another two days. When I submitted a warranty claim, the warranty clerk at the dealership requested a copy of the logbook.

I raised my concerns on Buyers Guide on Ignition TV. One of the guest presenters agreed that their quality has slid. We now paying for the badge.

Their other cars are still as solid as ever, not all of them are built in India, it's only the cheaper cars like the Brio BEV and Ballade that are built in India and it shows with quality issues.

Yes, you correct. Just checked that out.

It's also the after sales service that totally put me off the Honda brand.

Yeah, they can barely afford to have bad service while their business is struggling this much.
