Nee jinne, I am never voting ANC again
The too tall ones? Some of them arrived before the deal was cancelled with the Spaniards.

Aaaah yes those ones, I thought they were too fat for the tracks or something
That was a ton of cash down the drain, all seems forgotten now

We need good quality rail transport. It doesn't necessarily need to be fast for freight. Just reliable.

Hi speed Passenger rail is not really viable for business travel, it is just too far. Cannot beat planes.

So real high speed doesn't make sense. It would be nice if it could be better, faster and more reliable than cars/trucks/busses.
There's most likely a optimal point between speed vs cost for the project.

Hey 875km/h is possible... In Star Trek

If we're going Star Trek style, then why even have a train... just replicate the cars in the EC instead, and we can transport between JHB and CT instantly.

Why even bother replicating in EC? Will GP not have it's own replicators? I wonder if people realise that the transporter is actually killing you and rebuilding a clone of you every time you use one.

Well purely because we need a shipping industry, so we don't want to use a transporter to send the cars to their destination... Eskom and all that you know :p

Get ready for a flustercuck on this scale or worse.

Nah, this clusterfsck has been ongoing for nearly a decade now...
The old DIA is totally buttfscked in terms of ever being an airport again. The runway is trashed, the terminal is pretty much destroyed now as well.
