Hi All,

I'm a new iBurst user. Where my UTD is currently place in my home I almost always have 100% signal (or so the signal indicator says), though quite often I have no connectivity even though I'm being shown full signal.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Then my next question is relates to the firmware upgrades.
1) How can I check what firmware is currently on my UTD
2) Are there significant benefits to upgrading the firmware.

Thanks guys
Keppy

Hi and welcome.
Your UTD has its firmware remotely upgraded over the air whenever wbs releases an upgrade.
Your problem sounds pretty common to some iburst users if you look around you will find loads of info on stuttering preformance.
Your best bet is too find your best connectivity by connecting the utd and then running a continious ping to www.iburst.co.za try moving your utd around until you find a spot with no packet loss and average ping below 100ms.
The leds only give an indication of BS - User signal strength not your upload signal strength.
If you still are not winning try running a continious ping in the background.
Finally you may need to get an external antenna to boost your signal strength or to direct you to a better tower if you have the misfortune of connecting to one of the crappy ones (Northcliff).
