The fact that they're factoring in a plan to cover 8000MW shortage, means its something that are very aware is a real possibility now...

Why the hell are all the IPPs not on stream already? Who has been fired for this abortion?

Every year I keep postponing my purchase of a gas tank. Time to just get one now. Would not be a very festive season sitting at home without hot meals.

Mothae added that Eskom and most metros have already developed load shedding schedules that cater for stages 1-8.
Really? Seems a bit sinister that they've been quietly organising stage 5,6,7 & 8 with the metros and this is the first we hear of it.

Where can we see this schedule? We have an Eskom top dog just a block away from us, and he is NEVER without electricity.

Well he either has backup means like a generator or solar or he is on a different grid than you. Because it is near impossible to exclude a single property from a suburban grid.

Couldn't care any less. Africa has 320 days of sunshine a year. I'll just go solar...

8 stages of shedding, Eskom gave to me...

1. Is a nuisance
2. An irritation
3. People start swearing
4. Things start burning
5. No more working
6. Last few emigrating
7. No more baking
8. Economic standstill

...and they still want an ridiculous increase.

(sing it on the tune of 12 days of Christmas)

Time to accelarate my plans to start moving off grid.
