Kulula founder and former Comair CEO, Gidon Novick is planning to launch a new low-cost domestic airline in South Africa.

Speaking to CNBC Africa, Novick said he sees opportunity in the difficult situation which the travel and airline industries find themselves in.

Will probably be an online service airline, most are going that route, but not as fast as they would like,
you will probably buy ticket online, self service check- in, probably pay for overweight luggage,
minimum contact with staff, and probably will have a hard time collecting refunds.
also on the other end,will probably outsource food baggage handling,so paying those people a pittance.
lots of other cost saving was you never even thought of.

seat, 10kg luggage, 1 toilet, no snacks. pretty much a flying bus. youre in and out. been on these type of national airlines abroad. add online servicing too.
