Looking at the new Afrihost and Crystal Web per gig pricing and daytime uncapped i kinda regret going with LTE tbh. Having to delay a download like under_sky above is not exactly something we should have to do in 2016.

In saying that i feared the worst after the FUP talk started. 250 gigs down to 4Mbps i can make work - it could have been a lot worse. I wonder what the next threshold and speed downgrade is after 250gigs?

What's to investigate? Their TACs tell you they can throttle you at their discretion. That's what they're doing.

Well ffs. I just put in an order for LTE after being contacted by a Telkom saleperson. She told me that using streaming, normal downloads, gaming etc will NOT result in any capping or shaping.

Should I cancel?

Well so far no one has been informed ( or if they have been informed, it was not mentioned here), that they are throttled. So are people throttled or is it again back haul issues?

I can confirm that I hit 250GB last night, and this morning my speeds are very slow. Another friend of mine hit 250GB on Sunday and he has had slow connection since then too.

So do we lodge a complaint with ICASA if this is true?, ASA wont help as they will just change the T&C's if they have not already.

150GB-200GB, but I can see that increasing with streaming and game downloads.
Yep I could never use all my vox data but streaming vs p2p increases data unbelievably!

But it may be cheaper and better with p2p on adsl at this rate. Netflix in any case way behind.

ASA is relevant as they deal with misleading advertising.

137gb this morning but little streaming last night. Only me watching a documentary (1/3).

So really absolutely no abuse or even normal usage for last 2 days. Yet the gb adding up after 8 days. Realistically thus 20gb per day minimum. 600gb minimum cap and should actually be 1tb.
However, this begs the question - is capping the issue which I doubt or streaming concurrently? Telkom wants people to stream one show only. This is not SAUK days anymore. Modern households stream to be able to watch what they want and when they want to. Telkom oversold LTE which is not as stable as adsl and to pre emptively lock up potential fibre subscribers due to fibre providers inroads into affluent suburbs.
Then they expanded it beyond the bandwidth to use normal phone bandwidth.
Lack of planning resulted in poor speeds for others, not abuse by users. E.g. the 1tb user probably uses it off peak during the day I assume. 1tb for so many users is actually little if I check my usage for a normal household.
Now on 146gb. And the netflix streaming already.

Mmmmmm, looks like 200gb gets you throttled to 4Mbps, 250gb gets you throttled to 256Kbps.
