Mmmmmm, looks like 200gb gets you throttled to 4Mbps, 250gb gets you throttled to 256Kbps.

Have you reached those heard it from someone ? 256 seriously that's horrible don't even know how it's legal to give Internet at that speed

250gb isn't bad! Still great value if you got it @ R599 and good value @ R799.

It's very poor value in my opinion. How do I top up once I am throttled? At least on ADSL you can pick and choose top ups from various ISPs as well as having night surfer.

Well so far no one has been informed ( or if they have been informed, it was not mentioned here), that they are throttled. So are people throttled or is it again back haul issues?
I'm throttled to 4mb after 250mb
Well we are over a week into the month. But they might be doing the same as mweb does with the whole 30 day rolling period, that sucked as generally once you stuck in it you in it for the long run until you don't use the Internet for a while. But only time will tell in this month I'm at around 45gb Apple launched all their updates last night so it was a little busy for me. I wanna download GTA V again, as the mods that are out are awesome but I don't wanna push 80GB on my lte then they slow me

Got this message this morning:

Dear Telkom LTE customer, our LTE uncapped services are governed by an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Telkom reserves the right to apply restrictions if a customer's behavior is deemed to affect the experience of other LTE users on the network. Your current usage puts you at risk to be impacted by the policy, which may lead to throttling. Please reduce your usage. Go to http://telkom.site/AUP to view the AUP. T&Cs apply. Telkom Team.

Current usage is about 184gb.

If they do insist on throttling heavily they should at least provide an incentive for people to download between 12 and 6am. To punish those who schedule downloads to the middle of the night the same as those who download between 6pm and 12 is rather ridiculous and unfair.

I received the same SMS but I didn't monitor my usage. Now under the T&C

Bandwidth intensive protocols or applications are defined as Bit torrent traffic downloaded via Peer to Peer, Application to Application, Application to Server, news servers Protocols ( NNTP)

So they added application to application and application to server as bandwidth intensive protocols. That means everything is considered as bandwidth intensive protocol.

Yep totally a joke ito streaming. True uncapped. Never throttled .
250gb is a joke.

I note speeds nowadays in the 20mbps range.

Telkom, the days are fast approaching where you will be relegated to irrelevance.
