Hi there, wondering if anyone could help to gather resources for this forthcoming article... positive growth moving forwards. My original email was based on an article written by Warwick in ITWeb. Either leave clear comments below, or email to: andrew <at> fusion01 <dot> com, and I'll gather them together and forward on. Thanks!

> Thank you for your articles covering the actual issues we as ADSL user's encounter. It is rare to read of any contentious issues being covered in the media, both internet and print.

Our telecommunications remain one of the most expensive in the world. Users spend 5 - 10% (even as a professional in the workplace) of their salary on a service that, in it's most basic form, allows for the running of a better business, and therefore should be attainable and encouraged. It is maddening that Telkom's increase in share value is at totally unrealistic rates due to an absolute monopoly, and, I suspect, corporate greed, which hampers growth for potential users in this country (and the improvement of the service for present ADSL users too).

If it's not covered by journalism, then how on earth will government or the companies responsible sit up and notice? It is only through promoting general knowledge on these issues that our country can hope to improve on the decrease in monopoly and an increase in service offerings to the average consumer.

Regards.
Andrew Baddeley.

Hi Andrew

Great to hear from you. I agree that this sort of thing needs to be exposed, but it is so difficult to get to the truth. I am hoping to write another article on ADSL in the coming weeks, so if you have any ideas on issues or suggestions as to who I should interview, I would be most grateful for your input.

Thanks
