Hi All

from my "very limited" understanding i believe that one CANNOT use ones ADSL line to host a webserver or even a remote access fileserver. Is this correct. Ive been reading up on vpn's but still dont know if it can work. i have a need to remotely access my server from clients offices but dont know how to do this. any ideas please. from what im told my adsl ip address changes daily "by telkom" which makes this "impossible"

thanx

Use a dynamic dns service. Try www.no-ip.com. They have free dynamic hosting options as well. You just set up what you want your domain to be (somthing .no-ip.nom).

Have a chat to Loosecannon. He has a Linux Distribution and the supporting systems that can be usefull for you,
