Solving the Web Security Challenge

Email and web are the top two vectors for cyberattacks, serving collectively as the initiation point for 99% of successful breaches. Because cybercriminals use these channels together, a seamless, simple, and scalable web security strategy for protecting them together is essential. Protect your employees and guests against malicious websites and malware.

  • Your customer's brand is valuable - It’s also bait.

Cybercriminals consistently take advantage of how easy it is to impersonate an organization’s email or website. To combat this, you need full visibility, speed of discovering spoofing attacks and timely remediation. It’s no longer enough to protect just what’s yours. It’s time to move from defense to offense.

The number of phishing sites detected is up 30%

  • Owned domains are easily spoofed.
  • Brand imitation is on the rise.
  • Spoofing attacks are difficult to detect and even harder to resolve.

Even unsophisticated attackers can register a similar brand domain or host a website designed to trick customers, partners, and employees, destroying the value and trust that brand owners may have taken years or decades to build.

Link 1: Mimecast apparently continuously crawls domains on the search for spoofed versions of its subscribers' websites.

Link 2: They also seem to offer some sort of API support to subscribers who wish to link their sites to third-party security services.

Link 3: The advertised Web Security here appears to be some sort of solution that claims to go beyond firewalling, filtering, and other run-of-the-mill answers. They mention protecting users against clicking through to spoof sites, installing malware, and so on. Perhaps this is some sort of training programme they're offering for users within your organisation, or it's a more complex security suite that combines restrictions on multiple avenues of user activity to prevent them from doing something they shouldn't.

I didn't realise it is so easy to impersonate an organization’s email or website.
