Don't expect any sensible guidelines from government, they have been behind the curve for most of this pandemic.
They must not get too slack. It would help if they at least keep educating and pressing good social distancing. Since the alcohol ban has been lifted, public areas have been an orgy.

Numbers are incredibly low at present, I wouldn't be concerned until Jan/Feb 2022 (after the holidays when people return to work).
The seven-day rolling average of new infections in South Africa has dropped to below 300, from a third-wave peak of almost 20,000 in July.
