Alf 20 20 has brought tons of new people to cricket but these people are not going to watch that kuk boring 5 day game with run rates in high 2's :p

Seriously watching 5 day cricket when your used to pro 20 is not a peasant experience :p

People with a higher IQ tend to prefer Test cricket to 20/20, so you are a case in point there.;)

Higher IQ? What does that have to do with test cricket?

Do you have to be immensely intelligent to watch batsmen block 4 out of 5 deliveries? like i said the only time 5 day cricket is even close to enjoyable is when the aussies play.

So i guess everyone who enjoyed the ipl have low IQ's?

20/20 will not harm test cricket. Test cricket will remain the pinnacle of the sport.

What will happen in due course is 50 overs cricket will become dead. It was devised to attract and entertain people, it was meant to do exactly what 20 over cricket is doing now. There's room for only one imho and 20 over cricket does the job much better.

5 day cricket...god you have to be completely deprived of a life to actually sit down and watch that? I tend to check out the score every now and again while taking a smoke break but fck that, actually sitting there watching it? thats just insane, and regarding the oke that said people with "higher IQ's prefer test cricket"; you my friend must most probably be the idiot for your fcked up thinking. 20/20 is for the proffesional who cant fricken hang around to spend one whole day in (or five for that matter) to appreciate the ocassional awesome moment. And am I the only one that think that the success of the 20/20 might just be the best thing that happened to the sport? for now we have a sport that might get the americans interested in competing with the rest of the world (and what could be better than whipping the americans arses at sport again and again?)

Have a look at your spelling and grammar.

I watch all forms of cricket and if I'm not nearby a TV then I will listen to the ball-by-ball radio commentary.

Test cricket will never die. It is for the purists who enjoy the finer details of the game of cricket. It will be enhanced by the improvement in players' skills levels brought about by Pro20 cricket.

The 50-over ODI game might be affected by the current popularity of the Pro20 version of the game, but it will also not die away.

Pro20 is the current flavour of the month and massive income generator.

They are all versions of the beautiful game; CRICKET.

But you are reducing the bad's surface area. How can that be good. Your margin for error playing hook or pull shots is much smaller.
