Hi All just thought this might be interesting to some people esp those with N and E series. Nokia released a new updated version of the maps software with some key upgrade to the software. [GSMArena] [link to download]

Looks interesting gona DL and try it out oh it comes with a 3 day FREE trial of the voice navigation option so you can try before you buy ;)

Got it - pretty cool. Some definite changes. Nice to see they're stabilising their product.

It looks good, some nice functions, BUT:mad: if you were using the tracking function, DO NOT install the new version !! unless I am just not seeing it, it is not there. So now this GPS is nothing but a slow digital map. I am faster with my normal map. Ok if you go somewhere you don't have a map for, it is still usefull, but the N95 has been (in my personal opinion) degraded to the same functionality (map wise) to a not GPS nokia phone with maps to go on. Unless you want to pay extra fee for navigation.:mad:

Uhm...reinstall firmware V12, it doesnt come with this version of MAPS

If you have, like me, subscribed to the navigation...this version of MAPS is miles ahead of the old version!

Really cool upgrades. I love this phone! (N95).

Anyone know how to activate the 3-day trial? Having a blonde day...

I don't think you need to go to that extreme, I did read somewhere how to do this, but am unable to find the source right now.
Try highlight the Maps application in your phone browser and press 'C'.
