Hi there

We (Pico Computer Tech) have opened a new online shopping website where you can order computer parts online. The catalog is not yet loaded with all our products but I decided to post the link here so long to get some feedback on the look&feel. And also see how people react to the prices we have.

Positive and negative feedback is welcome!
Also, suggestions will be of great help.

I seriously hope that this shop isn't gonna turn out to be another Digital Planet. I saw your site browsing from my phone and it looks ok. How does it work...do you place an order and pay or do you confirm stock and then make us pay or do you keep all products in stock?

All prices include VAT. Could you maybe elaborate on the ones that are way out please, so that I can rectify that if needed. ;)
We are still in the process of uploading all the products, it takes a lot of time adding each product, but a very valid point there. Will need to add more, quicker.

Once an order has been placed the order should ship the next day. If there isn't any stock, stock will be ordered asap. This usually won't take more than a day and if this happens the order will shop with overnight delivery to make up for the lost time. If the order was over R350, we pay for the express shipping, if not the client pays for the regular shipping, and we pay the overhead cost of shipping it overnight.

Just an observation while looking through pricelist

GeForce 7600GT 256MB Silent Pipe 256MB 128Bit, R2034,00
http://www.picocomptech.co.za/displa...s-c-25_29.html

then at Pc international

XFX Geforce 7900gt 256mb 256MB 128Bit, R1852
http://www.pcint.co.za/components.asp

Their prices exclude VAT. I think that explains the price difference.

Thank you for the replies!

Yes you are right, sorry. Interesting how they are cheaper ;) Do they offer free shipping/insurance? :) Good point though.

Forgive me for reviving this thread, but has anyone actually bought anything from this store? I just ordered a WoW 60 day gamecard and haven't really gotten anymore than a e-mail asking me to pay (which I have).

Thanks

mmm...

I don't really want to jump to any conclusions, it has only been a few hours and I see he was browsing the forum recently.

Will let you know what happens.

*edit: how do I get out of the mobi theme and back to the proper one on my computer?

That thread was pretty big. Anyway, I expect cheap prices, always in stock, free shipping, good support, nice looking site i.e. newegg. :D But we're not getting that in SA any time soon. :/
