This is an excellent idea, although there's nothing on your site that I'd be interested in that I can't source locally for less.

It looks like you only cover higher end products and I tend to shop for cheap Chinese crap costing R200 or less.

Some questions:
Do your prices include delivery and import duties?
Are you able to by off Amazon?
Do you only do hardware or can you get software/games as well?

Thanks for the feedback!

As it is a new store i focus specifically on newer items, not necessarily high end. But that seems to be my starting point.
I dont have the capacity right now to support cheaper chinese products due to the risk involved with comebacks and warranties.
(I am open to suggestions as to these types of products, as one of the most popular google search terms is cheap tablet, cheap laptop etc)

Prices for imported goods are all inclusive, but upon checkout you need to select your shipping method, which will add a small amount depending on where you need the item shipped to.

I can buy off Amazon, but it takes forever to setup quotes, and calculate duties, shipping and tax. Whereas with the Dell and Alienware goodies its already done for me. And the risk again of customs deciding today we want to charge 30% in stead of 15% will then be for my account, as I dont want to even have that type of conversation with a client.

I do have access to some games, but we are working non stop on adding all the latest hardware, and then when the site is ready and the whole user experience is tweaked, then we might add things like games. I am thinking of adding games to certain items such as the imported laptops as an incentive. Also I will be adding the usual MS OS, and Office packages soon.

I must also then say again that even if its not on the site, please just mail us at info@techimport.co.za, and we will get back to you with a full quotation including shipping.
