Must say the droid RAZR MAXX HD (terrible name) looks really good, some specs (processor, camera) are a bit underwhelming but that Screen, huge battery and obvious guidance from Google is very tempting. This might actually be a phone to recommend over the S3.

I like the RAZR HD a lot and wouldn't mind getting one. Maxx only for Verizon for now so we won't see it here I guess.

And thát one cannot understand from a company so close to Google. What is support like in SA these days? Got zero reply from their SA e-mail address a month or so back.

Dunno. Never emailed them. Cant be bothered to be honest. The responses on their forum leaves me cold also. Went something like "It will be ready when its ready"

When I read in the GSMarena article "It will be upgraded to JB close to the end of the year" with these new models I was like "Ja...whateva! I have heard that one before!"

Under Google that WILL change. That's for sure. Page and Brin have no patience for slackers. I think things will change for the good. Dead wood is being removed. Poor markets closed-down. Consolidate and become lean and mean is what Google will demand from them.

To fix Motorola Google will habe to start in the States first and once that market is back on track expand. We might be left out in the cold for some time to come as far as Moto goes. Ockienomoto?

lol. Dont get me wrong. I still think their hardware is still the best when it comes to build quality and style! But they have just really pissed me off. It simply cannot be that damn difficult to bake a ROM for your phone when you get handed the base OS on a silver platter from Google! Seriously. I would hate to change my custom nickname. I have grown very attached to it. I actually cant remember who gave it to me :-(
