And thát one cannot understand from a company so close to Google. What is support like in SA these days? Got zero reply from their SA e-mail address a month or so back.
My Defy got sent in for repairs for the earpiece speaker that was distorting. It wasn't waterproof anymore after that. It got some moisture build up at the top of the screen. This caused the notification LED to stay on permanently. I sent it in again and after a 3 week battle with Autopages water damage claim I approached Motorola Mobility. I emailed them and got a reply the next day. They asked me for a detailed description of what happened. Was informed that they will swop my phone out with a new one. They offered to courier it but I picked it up from them at Eco Park in Wendywood. That whole process took 4 days.
Let's hope Motorola make a huge comeback, esp here in SA. Can't wait to see what tablets they will come up with now that they are part of Google. Hope we get their latest stuff in SA quick-quick.
First department that needs to be fired here and maybe even overseas is their marketing department.
They're not so crap in the overseas, the US RAZR's (the LTE versions) have had ICS for months already...
Wasn't the original Maxx eventually released in Europe? We could see it one day.I like the RAZR HD a lot and wouldn't mind getting one. Maxx only for Verizon for now so we won't see it here I guess.
I wanted to get the Razr on my upgrade but after feeling the Sony Xperia P in my hands it was like hmmm, Motorola just felt like a toy, my old Defy felt plasticky and the feel of the buttons was just a bit bleh, especially the power on the top, the Sony it's just so nicely crafted, the buttons feel awesome. Though the Defy could take a knock it still had scratches on the screen, the Sony has got a dent or two on the bottom but the screen is still awesome.
Well then it's better than the Xperia S, because that feels quite plasticky, and not as sturdy as the RAZR or even the Galaxy S3 (which is all plastic).
Edit: Kevlar is a fabric, it's supposed to fell like that. But it's extremely strong.
