New South African shopping app launched

Offline shopping in South Africa is set to receive a boost with a new application designed to drive shoppers to local stores.

Man, so many things I've built in the past now getting funding and making it... makes me so sad. My system though also used bluetooth beacons(cheap tiny devices available for next to nothing several years back), so, could place them all over mall, say a store window, and trigger alerts to people walking by like say, 'heres a 50% of voucher for you on all items for the next 15min'. Could also use them as 'digital salesman' as range was adjustable, so, 'in this isle, with list and virtual map of items, linked to your shopping list', and fab on products with videos etc. But hey, no one was interested back then

I'm a Windows 10 Mobile user. Guess I'll have to drive myself to the shops.
