New Spotify Premium deal launched

Spotify has announced that it has launched its annual Premium holiday offer, which allows users to sign up for three months at a once-off cost of only R60.

The streaming service will also offer three months of free Spotify Premium to eligible free and first-time users.

Currently with Apple Music and very happy with it... but wondering if I should make use of this deal to gradually migrate everything over to Spotify - the playlists on Spotify are just far superior from what I've found.
They are indeed awesome!

I started with a deal like this a few years ago. Good way to get started. On my phone it's my default music player now - can download as much as I need for offline listening. Especially nice having one playlist that automatically downloads to my phone so I can keep favoriting tracks to that playlist and have them available for offline listening while driving without having to burn through data.

I was on Spotify for a year and then switched back to Apple Music - don't know if I'm imagining but the audio quality is SO much better.

I might consider moving back to Spotify for a while with this offer.

I moved over to a Tidal 3 month trial, and I can't fault their library. They have pretty much everything Spotify and more, but their playlists, algorithms and search engine is not as good.

You can set the quality to any level you like. Maybe your network was laggy / mobile and it was set to "Auto" so it downgraded the quality for you? You can force it to always use max quality, 320Kbps. I believe there were talks about implementing FLAC some time in the future.

And I just signed up again after the lockdown break, as I only listen to music while driving and gyming and none of that was happening during the beginning of lockdown.

Tried out joox during that period but playlist and feel wasn't good, so went back to Spotify as soon as I went back to gym.

Pretty sure I set it to max quality... perhaps I'll sign up for this promo so I can compare directly.

I’ve been with Tidal for years. With The Joe Rogan Experience moving to Spotify I might be forced to make a switch.

Been with Tidal for a while. Will never switch, at least you in the near future.
