will we immediately be getting the more premium facelift of the Starlet in SA as well ?

Haha it’s true, unfortunately. I have the previous gen with the same engine. It’s rated for 51 kW and 90 Nm in mine. It ain’t much but it’s honest work.

I figure the reason Toyota keeps rebadging Suzukis is coz it works out cheaper for them. But can someone give the actual reason for this.
