New Telkom ADSL add-on with unlimited DStv online - R99 p/m

Apple Music = WIN - I don't know how many of you actually buy iTunes movies? Very good play by Telkom imo.

Quick question...presumably the unlimited DSTV online is for those with a DSTV Package?

Am sure this includes SS streaming and BO streaming but wait for further confirmation ;) , no, don't need to be a DSTV subscriber for Box Office fyi.

Any idea how/when I can get this activated? It should be included with my package... Any news on if it will cover Supersport's live streaming?

Telkom really are starting to flex their muscle and I think this 'sleeping giant' is starting to wake up from its slumber.

I reckon in the next 18 months, they are going to have an amazing service offering for client ( mobile, landline, DSL, 3G).

So you still need to pay a 7 or R800 subscription fee?

I tested ShowMax last night and it is very "pixelated".

Yeah. This service is geared for things like a complex where they don't always like you putting up a DSTV dish. Now you can watch DSTV using your internet connection without having to get an uncapped account.

By the sounds of it, you still need a DSTV subscription so that you can download content to your Explora. Doesn't sound like free supersport streaming. With Showmax, a lot of the local stuff isn't in good quality but things like "Grandpa in my pocket" are in good quality.

Without stating the obvious [SS plugin woes...] , how many friends or family do you know have the premium sub and use it to stream....

This is sure going to make their Fibre packages very attractive right?

Darn, thought I could watch full DSTV for R99/month. :(

Kudos to Telkom for this even though i do not use Monochoice's services. Now if only Sony and Microsoft weren't messing around with source IPs we would still be enjoying unlimited game downloads too
