saw some asus B850 AM5 motherboards are in

Some help from the pc experts. Can you use any ddr4 ram on a AM4 motherboard?
Have a Asus prime b450m-k and want to buy ram. Something like G.skill ripjaws 3200mhz 2x8gb or 2x16gb

Does it matter if you take 3200mhz or 3600mhz for compatibility? Or does 2x8 or 2x16 matter on some motherboards?

In theory it should be totally fine. In the early days of AM4 there were RAM instability and compatibility issues but those have been ironed out and it's fairly solid now.

Both speed and size should be fine in a dual channel configuration which is what you're looking to run.

That board says it supports up to DDR4-4400 (as an Overclock) so should have no issue running at 3200 or 3600.

Thanks. Just asking as on say Wootware site its says the Ripjaws 2x8 is compatible with b450 board, but the 2x16 says only x570 board. no mention of cheaper/older boards

Shouldn't be an issue at all. Just update your BIOS to the latest to ensure you have the latest fixes, some of which will be for memory compatibility.

Anybody have an all white components build? Do you find you have to clean it more often?

If you want to be smart, use a black case with white components. For one, the case won’t show brown marks every time you touch it without first washing your hands as if you’re scrubbing in for surgery, and secondly the dark interior will accentuate the lighting on white components.

Oh, and the contrast is awesome. All-black or all-white is boring once you’ve seen a mixup of black and white.

All white isn't easy :( unless you pay more.
So my nice white case has a smorgasbord of colours in it ;)
Plus keeping the case clean isn't that hard, wet wipes handy

Saw similar on Carb. On wootware’s website they have sliders for pricing which you can adjust to include/exclude cards. Has been fairly reliable in the past for checking cost of upcoming items. Not perfect but usually around the right mark.

Exactly that, we know it's between 20 and 30k so you have that as the min and max on the sliders and then you just drag them up and down until the card you want to find the pricing for appears.

The Zotac and Palit are between R24-25k.
