Charge your credit card for the cost of LittleSnitch. At least download and install the demo for now so you can see exactly what it does.

Activate the trackpad special gestures. Saves a lot of time.

And remember. PC people like clicks. Mac users like swiping.

Spend some time on the various Mac OSX sites - very useful tips and tutorials about how to get the most out of your Mac. IMO, this remains the single biggest difference between OSX and Windows. Workflows = geek joy.

Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal :whistling: ^^

BUT... I just got my Yosemite Hackintosh and am loving it... busy converting PC install into a Parallels VM and then run it from within ye' OSX.

Enjoy your MBP.

See there is a special for Parallels:

https://buy.parallels.com/329/purl-bf-pd10f-b?x-source=site

Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac
Run Windows on your Mac!
$ 79,99
free included apps :
  • Gemini
  • 1Password 5 for Mac
  • Camtasia for Mac
  • CleanMyMac 2
  • Parallels Access (2-Years)
  • Acronis True Image for Mac

is this a worthy deal?
Do you need Parallels? I use Vbox on occasion - it's free and does a lot of what Parallels does. I guess if I relied on windows I'd spend the money.

Thought i would include it for the Group as someone might feel this is a good deal for them. At the moment i am not sure i need this set of software. Most of my applications are Mac friendly.

To me, Parallels is for people that have money to burn. Virtualbox does virtualisation for free, it might not be as flashy but does the same thing.

There is also PlayOnMac if you want to run certain Windows apps without virtualisation. http://www.playonmac.com/en/

1Password and CleanMyMac are two of my go-to apps. 1Password costs around $35 and CleanMyMac is around $40,00... Just saying.

Description
BetterSnapTool allows you to easily manage your window positions and sizes by either dragging them to one of the screen's corners or to the top, left or right side of the screen. This enables you to easily maximize your windows, position them side by side or even resize them to quarters of the screen

Thanks! I am missing Windows 8 snapping on Yosemite... will give this a go.
