Back when a Rav 4 was a middle class persons vehicle .... R14K per month, just no.
Looks like Toyota is trying to reposition the Rav to be more premium, with the Corolla Cross filling the gap that the lower specced Ravs used to be in.

Makes me wonder then. For top end Rav money then, would someone consider a Fortuner? It’s the better buy in my opinion.

It might well be, I prefer the Rav to the Fortuner but that's because I don't "Need" the Offroad capability that the Fortuner offers, but if you do it makes sense. Rav is just easier to live with day-to-day in terms of driving / parking etc.

Okay. I’ll go over to Toyota some day and see them side by side. I need to confirm my biases though in that the ‘rents used to have a Fortuner and it was so amazing. Maybe I’m blinded by that.
