Stettynskloof dam
(whatever that means )its hazard potential has been ranked high
It's a consequence of people creating a temporary artificial shortage. If everyone bought as and when needed the supply would be plentiful.that's just it starting ......

Just heard on radio unconfirmed reports of a fight breaking out at the SAB spring in Newlands. Will update if I hear more.
Drove through here this morning and there were people happily hosing their cars down.
2. Water Wasters as posted above -this is totally illegal. Why are they not being prosecuted?
Rights in South Africa work like this:
Criminals > The poor > Tax Payers
The rich > criminals > poor > tax payers.Rights in South Africa work like this:
Criminals > The poor > Tax Payers
Zuma > the ANC > god himself > the country > the rich > criminals > poor > tax payers.
3. Re sewers being blocked - would it not be possible for the municipality to send large tankers filled with non potable water to the high point of the various sewers and to pump that water into the sewer?
Highly likely! I drive past there on Monday's and Fridays, and the queues last week were frightening (when it was still cool). With today's 30+ temperatures, I can imagine tempers are frayed.
IMO collecting spring water is a kind of 'temporary insanity'. Unless you are brewing beer, there is negligible difference in taste and quality to ordinary tap water. The waste of time and petrol is ridiculous...
I know Helen Zille was trying to source water tankers from all our military bases - guess what, gone, nobody knows when or where.
