New Windows unveiled, and it's called Windows 10

Waiting for release. Win 8 has been cool but this major bug fix so called win 10 is most welcome

I have to admit, I absolutely enjoy Win7 and while Win8 is piece of shirt (IMHO), it really needed to be launched for the touch screen.

I had an Acer Iconia tab with Win7 ..... It was as frustrating at Win8 on a non touch screen.

Finding that one for all devices ... as MS is advertising, is going to be difficult, and they are bound to make some folk happy and pi$$ others off along the way.

But for me .... performance or not, I am still going to be using Win7 for a while. I know after XP, I pretty much skipped the Vista build altogether.

I've never encountered the version of Windows 8 that was frustrating to use without a touch screen. Luckily we received the one that worked great with or without a touch screen.

Shame, it's not their fault they were not able to cope without their Start Menu.

I'm also on 7 right now but having tried windows 8 I have to say it makes windows 7 seem like a drag,Windows 8 is so much faster,if 10 is anything like 8 with a start menu then I'm in.

I didn't use the start/metro menu in 8 btw just used to make shortcuts for anything I use on the desktop.

Curious about pricing though......I hope they have that special at least like they had for windows 8,how much was it R300?
 
Let's hope there is a free upgrade for us poor Windows 8 users. Worst OS ever!!

Thats a gross overstatement,besides the lack of start menu which was its major gripe to most people (can be added with a program easily btw) everything else on it was much better than 7 including loading times,settings menu on the right and even windows explorer and the small things like file copying having pause options etc.

I don't like the metro start menu as much as the next guy but windows 8 is actually fantastic IMO,I'm using windows 7 now and those little things gone annoy me on 7.
 
Woohoo, Looks great. One core all devices that is great and I like the start button with live tiles.
Waiting for the next update for my Nokia. :D
 
I hope all the current devices with Windows Phone 8 / 8.1 can get Windows 10. If that's the case, then I will happily go get a Lumia device :)

Agreed.

Very happy with 8.1 - even the Metro menu doesn't annoy me - just the Metro Apps - now that was a bad idea for desktop machines - useless, fullscreen, gimped applications....
