The Kiwi Share has three legs.
It requires Telecom to provide phone coverage to 99 per cent of the population
at a charge no greater in rural areas than in urban areas,
and not to raise the line rental by more than the rate of inflation each year.
And third, local calls and dial-up Internet connections must remain free.

Now here's some logic we need to adopt....

New Zealand is futher away from Europe than SA?

Well a country that is not only an Island, but is demographically further away from the Internet Hub has better policies and far better pricing structures than our own incumbent Monopoly, called Telkom.
Goes to show you? The New Zealand Government cares about its people.

Well the are closer to the East and (prehaps - the mapbook is too far away :p) America - but yup, I recon this could be used in an argument against Telkom ... :D
