Nice to see other SA gamers out there, been out of gaming for awhile now...

WoW, has grabbed my interest completely, but been held back due to internet restrictions.... now that is sorted...... the whole process seems quite involved...

So basically, what does it take for someone to start..... get the game, pay for your sub... and now you are good to go?????????

I miss anything there?

Ye. Take2.co.za sells the EU version of WOW (or they did the last time i checked). Then just sign up and select your payment method: either pay by credit card or prepaid game cards. You might wanna check the other local gaming forums (Prophecy, SGS, etc.) for realms populated by some SA players if you wanna join a local crowd.

I'm on Twilight's Hammer. Quite a lot of SA guys playing over there.

If you do decide to go with take2, I would suggest you have a credit card. You can create an account without a credit card, if you buy a 60 day game card also.

Although buying a 60 day game card from take2 is very expensive with price being R289 + shipping R25 and then a 3 week wait for it to come to you.

Lots of ppl come to me with "please can I have a game card in the next 30 minutes, I have run out of time and want to raid with my guild", and I say sure, Deposit the R215 in my account send me proof of payment and I email you the number.

Just a warning about the credit card, because I know lots of people that don't want or have a credit card and nowhere does it tell you you need one to create an account. (I think I must have created at least 300 accounts using my credit card for people)
