Hope I'm in the right group - I have a 6680, using it as a GPRS modem.
The problem I have is that I am unable to access any newsgroups. I get an authentication failure. When I connect using a standard dialup-up modem over a land line, it works perfectly. Test and conditions follow:
Landline - Mail, Internet and newsgroups work fine.
GPRS - Mail and internet work fine, newsgroups generate an uthentication error
Software used - XNews, Thunderbird, Outlook express - all the same condition
Contacted Telkom - Their response was that they don't care ard WILL not help. The told me contact Vodacom.
Contacted Vodacom - If internet and email works then newsgroups should work and that I should contact Telkom.
Is there anyone out there that has experienced the same problem or might be able to help.
