What I want to know about is how frequent and how timeously will the OS updates be rolled out?

HTC looks way sexier!, So does the SE X10 - !... the Nexus looks very 5 years ago, and the name is so 90's!

I do think this is a repackages Samsung Galaxy S. Not a a bad thing at all but basically what it is IMO.

I think this would be the device with the most & quickest updates. As long as Vodacom doesn't get in the way.

It's Android. Therefore it's a gamble WRT updates. Heck the Nexus one doesn't even have 2.3 yet.

This is the google experience phone so updated directly by google. No more bs waiting for updates.

Might get me one later in the year.

Sent from my Galaxy S running darky's rom sent to me by little green robots from the future.

The Galaxy S and Nexus look very similar to me. So I could get much the same pleasure out of the Nexus. Then it might come down to contracts and/or frequency of the OS 'upgrade'. With Gingerbread out already, and Samsung SA only releasing FroYo for the SGS later this month, that might just swing the vote.

I believe MANY dual-core phones will be "released" at Mobile World Congress next week. Nexus S is so last year...

Collecting mine on Sat from someone who just got back from the UK. Can't wait.

About Dual Cores - I can't see a valid reason/use for making a multi core phone. It's not going to make calls or sms any better or quicker. Not even your facebook updates, nor playing music. I for one would never watch a movie on a tiny screen, you missing out on the whole experience of a big screen and surround sound. Same with gaming.

Anyway, thats just what I think.

Looks good.

Btw, what's a decent Android handset that's cheaper than the HTC Desire? The HTC Wildfire is a bit erm, crap :p Can't really afford the HTC Desire yet - I'd prob go for soemthing on a Weekender R135pm type contract.

Sadly, I wouldn't take a contract out with Vodacom. I wish MTN or Cell C would bring this out. If they do, consider it sold!

However, this does depend on WHEN it comes out, and when HTC's new devices will be launching locally.

Get yourself an optimus one, had one for a couple of months before I got my galaxy.

Check out gsm arena it's better than the wildfire in just about every respect and it's cheaper.

Take a look at cell c. They have a mad special on it for 130 or so and includes 100 off peak minutes and 250 megs of data.

Didn't Bill Gates say the same sort of thing years ago? "No one would ever need more than 640k ram in a computer."

I've kind of learnt never to touch LG phones ever again.
