I think it was insecurity about his defence. He knew if Manning got his hands back on the ball, he would lose, no matter what part of the field it was on. So yeah I think he made the right call, they just drew up the wrong plan.

NFL is way too late and they don't show good games on ESPN. Im a Jags fan

Well it is played in America. It's not like they can have the games at 9 in the morning to accommodate us.
And ESPN shows the late night Sunday game and the Monday night game. They are usually the two best games of the week.
Some more games would be appreciated though. Especially some of the 1pm ET games.

Thats somewhat debatable, most of the prime time games are catered for the larger team fanbase ( eg Dallas, Philedelphia , Patriots and Colts ) so while teams with the smaller fanbase would might be having a great season ( e.g Jags, Rams ) they wont have any prime time games cause they wouldnt bring in as much revenue as the larger teams would .

I also agree with you that they could show a few 1pm games, I mean if sky tv in the uk ( I mean their viewers are exactly the same as us, Rugby, cricket and soccer loving fans) then why cant dstv

btw I am reallllyyyy hoping for a saints vs Colts superbowl , Drew Brees has been playing out of his mind this season.

Drew Brees for MVP

ITs actually really simple, basically a team is split into an offense and a defense ( none are on the field at the same time) The object of the game is to outscore your opponent ( your offense)by advancing the football into their endzone for as many touchdowns as possible while holding them to as few as possible ( your defense). There are other ways of scoring (field goal, defensive td ect), but a touchdown is usually the prime objective.

when the offense is trying to move the ball down the field , they are given 4 downs ( plays) to move it 10 yards, if they succeed they get another 10 yards and move closer and closer to the end zone where they can score a td or kick a field goal . If however they fail on the 1st attempt it becomes 2nd and 10, if they managed to gain 5 yards after that play its its 3rd and 5 ( meaning they just need 5 more yards),if they are on the 4th down , they have little choice but to kick it to the oposing teams offense and then its your defense turn to try and stop them.

THe offense is lead by the Quarterback, his duty is to call the plays which is sent to him by the headcoach on the sideline, he can matriculate the ball down the field toward the goalline by either throwing to his wide recievers ( which is normally done to gain big chunks of yards ) or his runningback , who gets the ball and runs is for as many yards as he can ( he normally is behind the qb , which then the qb hand it off ) The quarterback is protected by his offensive line , there job is to prevent the oposing defense from getting to the quarterback and sacking him ( remember the film Waterboy ? ) if the Quarterback get sacked then they extend the distance by a 5 yards , so now 1st and 10 now becomes 1st and 15 .Which means its now become slighly more difficult to move the ball down the field. the best qbs in the game today are Peyton Manning, Drew Brees ( my fav) , Tom Brady and Ben Rothlesburger. If you watch them work and how they pick apart the defense methodically you will apprieciate the game a bit more.

highlight of my favourate quaterback ( Drew Brees , Quarterback for the 12-0 saints )
