Nintendo revives Game & Watch with new system featuring Super Mario Bros

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, Nintendo has launched a new novelty gaming system called the Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.

The company previously released a series of Game & Watch devices between 1980 and 1991, combining a digital clock and a single game which are displayed in a basic LCD screen.

This time around it rolled out a gold and red model which can run several Super Mario titles with colour.

Insane price for the average person, but for a collector probably worth it. They are R1249 on TakeALot currently for those interested. I am looking for an old Game & Watch Octopus, if anyone has one and willing to sell please let me know. Thanks

I think it was R30 back in 1982.

I had parachute and Octopus.
My friend had Donkey Kong with the double screen. Think it was R50.

You can play them all in a browser now for free.
There are exe files for them somewhere as well.

So, the clock is the selling point. Does it beat the X and PS5 with time accuracy? :D
