I'll be attempting this in the coming week.

Grabbed the old Switch from the cupboard and will see what it takes to "re-hack" it.

Any tips welcome.

Might be better to start fresh. You might find hidden gremlins with no way of knowing if it's from the migration or not.

If it was me - I would back up my saves, wipe everything and create atmosphere emummc on my SD card, keep that firmware up to the latest atmosphere supported firmware and leave the sysnand of the console alone. Hell, might even nuke the saves and start fresh, but thats what I would do

gbatemp forums have quite a few useful topics/discussions on this

Remember that vanilla atmosphere won't boot games, you'll need the latest sig patches for the version of atmosphere you run

Thanks - so far I've opted for this:

Then created emuMMC - booted - found the firmware to be outdated... Next I'll try AIO Switch Updater:

Manged to get Atmosphere on and up to 1.8.0 .

Created emmunand, booted in to it + added tinfol.

Can now add games from sources, or use your OWN backups ;)

So I'm not exactly sure how this works, but Tinfoil adds the tickets for the games - and I haven't had to do anything further. Either download via Tinfoil store or attach a exFAT drive to the switch (while Tinfoil is running) and install that way.
