As some of you may be aware, I am in the process of attempting a dual system build for my Mozart TX
One of my first stumbling blocks that I have encountered was trying to locate the "Mini-Itx" motherboard required to fit into the chassis.
After receiving quotes on Via based "Mini-Itx" boards, I was so disgusted by the pricing , that I promptly put my newly acquired Chassis back up for sale.
When a rather helpful forumite pointed me in the direction of the Intel derivatives. Searching for the Intel boards provided me with a hit for Nivo, only problem was it was the older edition D201GLY instead of the D201GLY2, but it did not bother me at least I managed to track down a dealer that sells them. This was Saturday morning, they responded to me on Monday that there was stock for the older board.
I responded indicating that I was looking for the newer model D201GLY2 board. All of this communication occuring via email.
At this juncture I need to tell you that I had already contacted most of the Distributors (directly or indirectly) that I know stock Intel Mobo's - Axiz, Asbis, Rectron, Frontosa, Banwidth, Sahara, Pinnacle Micro. No one had stock of it, with no real ETA either. I was devastated.
Like some shining light in the dark, they responded that their Distributor has stock but in limited numbers. I questioned them how I can arrange to order the item from them and would they be able to assure that I obtain at least 1 of those boards - at this point in time I called them and chatted to Antonia.
She requested that I email them my details and they would create the order on their site and I would then just have to review it and pay the funds across. This I promptly did on Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning I received an email for the confirmation of the order, and I made payment. Less than 20 minutes later they responded with an updated email indicating receipt of payment. During the entire course of the order, I received emailed notifications as to the status of my order and delivery, up until the actual delivery at 11.30 this morning.
I would just like to say , it was a pleasure and a priviledge dealing with Nivo and would recommend them to anyone else in the future.
Bravo Nivo !! Bravo Nivo !!
I am also pleased to see they do not let their standards drop, as they have been mentioned before - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=95627&highlight=nivo
Bugger, loadshedding from 18.00 til 22.00 so my attempts at testing will be thwarted for this evening.
