The discovery of a brain in a plastic bag led to the arrest of two men alleged to be behind two gruesome murders

The Evander Magistrate’s Court yesterday denied Abraham Hermanus de la Rey (52) and Arthur William Underhay (39) bail.

Following their arrest last month, De la Rey (a farm owner) and Underhay (a farm manager) were both charged with murder, violating a corpse, defeating the course of justice and intimidation.

Their arrest came after the police found what they suspected was a human brain wrapped in a plastic bag on a farm in the Evander area, as well as blood elsewhere on the farm.

Possibly caught the men stealing something and the accomplices that escaped are now the ones testifying.

Damn if true they deserve the death penalty if we had one.
How horrific can a person be, but they do have eyes full of hate.

de la Re Underhay, almost sounds like it was meant to be. disgusting people.

So it's OK to violate (torture) a live person, before he/she is killed, and not after?

So, wtf, the brain cannot be identified as a brain and no bodies have been found so far but bail is denied. Because only bit of blood been found linked to the missing. Another example of selective and malicious prosecution. No mention of actual witnesses?? (If there are reasonable grounds yes go ahead.) But everyone jumps on the bandwagon to persecute... cnuts the lot of them. Starting to sound like the Israeli/hamas situation.

Looks like selective defending of the alleged criminals is also a thing, because it's not everyday you see someone jumping to the defence of alleged murderers like you have done.

Afrikaners... Boer... They did create the Booremag, NGKerk, Apartheid etc and the state we are in now, so its expected and will continue forevermore when they carry on like this. they will forever have a stigma.
Best is Afrikaans gets abolished. 100 years it will be history and nobody can be blamed. Afrikaners caused a lot of issues in my life too, so they will not be missed.

Media report I read stated that 6 men allegedly went "hunting" on the farm during the night. Shots were fired and 4 escaped, and the 2 others were reported as missing.
So I bet the actual story is that the trespassers and illegal hunters were reported to the police numerous times and nothing ws done. Because criminals, illegal hunters and trespassers have more rights than legal property owners.

Tragically, this is where it ends up. And guess who will be selectively slammed with the law.

Let's start the story at the beginning shall we, rather than midway through when frustrated farmers were forced to take the law into their own hands.

Show us on the Afrikaner doll where they offended you.

Did you even read the newspaper article?? Typical of you... I'm defending no one but be selective as you please quite the norm for you.

So I take it you are all for abolishing the German language as well then?

Maybe you are the problem.

Found the bit from the article. Seems I had the numbers wrong. Source.

De Laray and Underhay were arrested on January 18 after the disappearance of two men — Sthembiso Mnikathi and Buhlebekhaya Ximba, both 30 — in May 2023.

Mnikathi and Ximba went missing at a farm near Leslie while on a hunting trip.

“It is said that a group of five men went hunting at a certain farm during the night of the said date [May 19 2023]. The five men were somehow spotted inside the farm and shots were allegedly fired. Three managed to escape out of the farm unharmed, meanwhile the other two were never seen again by their fellows,” provincial police spokesperson Col Donald Mdhluli said.

Mdhluli said an inquiry for two missing persons was opened for investigation.

“The team of men and women in blue worked tirelessly and gathered some crucial information and certain individuals were identified as people that may assist with some clues that would help in solving the case. These people were able to provide valuable details in relation to the investigation.

“It then came to light that two suspects, De Laray and Underhay, were somehow entangled in a shooting of the two missing victims who could have possibly died. Police are of the view that the suspects could have then somehow disposed [of] their bodies somewhere else, far away from the farm.”
