No bail for Mpumalanga farmers charged with murder, violating a corpse

Doubt they care about the brain. Someone I know was in jail for 3 months before they said he can go as everything turned out to be hogwash.

So the answer is, as long as they want.
I would have assumed someone wandering about with a human brain would be the reason you get no bail.

If that brain's human those people are definitely dangerous. What kind of lunatic removes a person's brain...

Maybe just part of brain's. Probably shot in the head. Have you not watched zombie movies?

test on the ‘partial’ brain to determine if it was human was inconclusive.

Let me get this story straight.

5 armed black men broke in / onto a farmer's property in the dark.
They attacked the farmers and 3 ran away when 2 were wounded / killed.

Sounds an awful lot like an attempted farm murder gone wrong for the attackers.

Now it's the farmers who were attacked that are facing charges for shooting at armed burglars / murderers.

Tell us more about what you think happened

You don't need a whole brain, a tiny piece will do. Remember they can extract dna from a hair folicle as well as thousand year old bones and teeth.

Yeah but @porchrat think these guys removed the brains and keeping it in a jar somewhere .

Also, you give way to much credit to these investigators. They can be extremely incompetent. Most of the time the evidence goes missing or ends up in someone's KFC.

Possibly caught the men stealing something and the accomplices that escaped are now the ones testifying.
Even if that's the case. WTF cut out the brain and keep it?

Maybe they had an argument in the pub.
The one said "fokolbreins"
The other said "Née hulle het wel"
The 3rd said "Bewys dit! “

So it may have been an innocent little pub bet rather than something sinister.

You guys need to lighten up...

Yes, but had the farmers shot back and killed a few, fair enough.

But the two bodies disappeared and then there was a brain in a bag, or something.

Usually when you shoot an I truder you call the cops.
Or at the minimum you don't keep the brain.

This whole case stinks to high heaven and I tend to agree with this sentiment.

1. One does not "go hunting" unarmed, so in all likelihood it was an attempted farm invasion gone wrong;
2. The brain that was found could just as well have been from a sheep or pig for consumption by the farmer or his workers, but no IT HAS TO BE FROM A CORPSE;
3. The charges are also suspect as there appears to be no physical evidence of a corpse, mutilated or otherwise, so where does the "violating a corpse" charge spring from? Based purely on the presence of a partial brain that couldn't even be confirmed to be human?

Nah, I don't believe the narrative for a second. Besides, the article too one-sided for my liking.

There is a screw loose somewhere up with you two... @Conack

Afrikaners... Boer... They did create the Booremag, NGKerk, Apartheid etc and the state we are in now, so its expected and will continue forevermore when they carry on like this. they will forever have a stigma.
Best is Afrikaans gets abolished. 100 years it will be history and nobody can be blamed. Afrikaners caused a lot of issues in my life too, so they will not be missed.

Ek neem aanstoot met jou veralgemening.

State YOUR race / creed / tribe, so we can see whether ‘your’ hands are clean
