No boundary wall

Fibre is (finally) coming to our area, Plustead in CT. Vumatel will start trenching in the next month or two, however when speaking to the technician walking around our area he insisted on the boundary box being connected to a brick wall only. We only have a palisade fence from ground level, no brick. This is connected to the neighbour's palisade fence too so no bricks at the corner.

There is some rickety vibracrete fence on the other side, is this our only option? This would be sub-optimal as then trenching inside the boundary will have to go under a brick driveway. Additionally only the edge of the vibracrete faces the road with more palisade fencing adjacent to it. (Ja, we likes our palisade fencing in Plumstead),

Vibracrete wall and driveway will be replaced in a year and I don't want to have to re-visit the fibre for this. Anyone else have experience\issues with "fenced in only" properties?

Put up a 1.2x1m wall on the corner between you and your neighbour.

Octotel did trenches and boundary boxes in our area of Claremont, and we have palisade fencing so we looked carefully at similar installations. They put a backing plate on the other side of the fence and bolt the box to that. The area manager of the contractors assured us it was no big deal. In the event, I suggested they mount the box around the corner where there is wall, as it would save them digging up a long stretch of paved and a shorter stretch of grassed pavement, and he readily agreed. Maybe ask to speak to someone up the food chain?

My front fence is 10mmx10mm burglar bar type with 50x50mm steel supports. Not a brick in sight. Vuma installed against the fence using a backing plate. No discussion/questions.

There is always the option of not installing the grey boundary box on a wall, they can just leave the gray boundary box inside the black ground box and then install directly from there into the house.

I don't have a front boundary wall and my house is situated far back from the road, this was the only option that worked for me. I rather like it as it is neat with no additional boxes on any wall, installation was done directly out of the black ground box into the house, so no trunking is visible at all

I'v seen many houses that don't have fences have the boxes fixed onto a wooden plank
