I can see why they are trying to get an interdict to remove it from the M&G website. I don't see how Zikalala can stay in office after this. He has lied and lied about everything ... (But then this is Africa ...)

The SABC, AFAIK, is funded through mandatory licence fees, and advertising, Government contributes only around ten percent of SABC Education's budget.

The SABC has also or is being split into a commercial wing and a public wing - so some channels and radio stations will be commercial while others will be public

Mandatory licence fee's, hmm, that means the public contributes to the budget and as such should have access to reports that indicate less than honest dealings correct?

No matter what the government's financial contribution it's still very much in government control. And the mandatory licence fee is basically just another tax.

I don't think that there is a legal requirement for the SABC to make the report public - although you're right, we should have access to it.
