I renewed my vehicle licence through FNB and paid them R 1 171 (including R199 service fee). I received the disc today but I see on the form that no fees were paid(see below)

It doesn't seem if the traffic department received the money I paid. I think someone made a quick buck.

The top section of the disk paper is a receipt. Since the bank paid at a different point to when the paper was printed, no money changed hands when it was printed. They should really have a method other than cash or card but they dont, so the amounts would be zero.

There's no way the traffic department would have printed out the licence disc in the first place if no payment was received. It's obviously just a printing error.
I doubt their system will make a mistake like this.

I checked my receipt from last year (also done through FNB) and the amount I paid showed on the receipt.

This is correct. The person that printed the licence disc did not receive any money. The fees was paid earlier through a different channel, so when the person went to collect the license to post it to you, the system showed no fees outstanding and it was printed showing R0,00 fees paid.

Thanks, that makes sense.
