No further tax funds for new SAA in 2021 budget

South Africa resisted adding yet more billions of rand to its ongoing bailout of the country’s bankrupt national airline, sticking to the idea that a private partner can be brought in to salvage the carrier.

Administrators for South African Airways have asked for R3.5 billion ($239 million) more in state funding than was allocated in October, according to the country’s Budget Review presented on Wednesday.

A further R5.3 billion is being sought from outside entities, according to the document.

Seems like an oversight. We all know that in 6 months they will receive a bail out. It is the ANC way.

This. If the media had any integrity left, they would not publish the PROPAGANDA.

Wait till you see how many vaccines are "given" to the SAA planes.... that's a nice big budget to steal from.

How come ANC gets to call all the shots. Sure their party is in power but is our HQ at Parliament in Pretoria or Lethuli house, because if in the later lets sell the union buildings to a hotel group. No need for both.
