Went today to sign up for iBurst i-go at HiFi Corp. Wanted it as an interim package waiting for Telkom to install ADSL and also for mobility later. After about 30 min I left the shop emptyhanded cause the salesman 'disappeared' as he had to contact iBurst since their sign up forms did not have the i-GO option. Makes me wonder if its worth it judging from the bad vibes I am picking up here as well. According to their map I am in a 1Mbit/s area - about 5km from their tower which is on a hill above me. Anyone have any good experiences with iBurst access?? Also, the guy at HiFi confirmed only the UTC is on special atm.

Just phone the company.
I dont like hi-fi corp, they toss you around and waste your time and money.
or go to www.iburst.co.za and click on sign on or whatever.

Personally I'd recommend you FIRST test the connection before even dreaming of getting iBurst....

though things may worsen in comming months...many would have noticed that little new news has been forthcomming from iBurst concerning new towers...

Get a reseller to check signal...

No new towers are being rolled out. I would have noticed if they connected the tower I live 500m away from. It was supposed to have been up and running months ago
